January 13, Baptism of the Lord –Pray for Christ Church, St. James, and its support of the Daily Bread Food Bank in South Etobicoke; and for Christ Church, Stouffville, its Lenten dinners and support of the local foodbank, its support of the Mully Children’s Family Home in Ghana, and its advocacy for poverty reduction.

January 20, Epiphany 2 –Pray for Christ Memorial Church, Oshawa, its milk program at the local school and its “Outreach Sundays” to raise money and awareness; and for Epiphany and St. Mark, Parkdale, Toronto, its work in a community garden project, its support of the Parkdale Deanery Out of the Cold, and its social justice, advocacy and environmental initiatives.

January 27, Epiphany 3 –Pray for the Church of the Evangelists, New Tecumseh, its Thursday community lunch, and its Saturday Family Market, which sells used clothing and supports local social service agencies and schools; and for the Parish of Fenelon Falls and Coboconk, its support of the local food bank and Christmas gift program, and its involvement in antipoverty initiatives in the Kawartha Lakes area.
