Outreach and Social Justice

Social Justice is a core part of the identity of St. Paul's Church, Runnymede. Over the year’s we have dedicated ourselves to a host of social change initiatives from economic justice to women’s rights, disability advocacy to peace, and Indigenous rights to housing. We continue to support social justice organizations in the church and community including the work of PWRDF, FAITHWORKS, Yonge Street Mission, Parroquia San Esteban & All Saints Church (Sherbourne and Dundas Streets) and Out of the ColdProgram at All Saint Church (Kingsways).
.
We support the programs of PWRDF around the world.

We support the program of All Saints Church,
Sherbourne and Dundas Streets, downtown Toronto.

We support the programs of Yonge Street Mission.
We support the program Faith Works
of the Diocese of Toronto

We support the food and clothes bank of
Parroquia San Esteban at The Church of the Holy Trinity
behind Eaton Centre, downtown Toronto.

We support the program Out of the Cold of
All Saints Church, Kingsway, West Toronto.

Baptism, a rite of entry into the church, is the sign of new life in Christ. In baptism we are a new creation, born into the life of the church. Water is blessed, poured over the head of the person being baptized as they are named as Christ’s own in the name of God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

At one time it was primarily infants and young children that were baptized, but now it is common for those who come to faith as adults to seek to be received into the household of God through baptism.
For Baptism of Infants and Children:

It is important for the baptism of your child to occur when the community gathers so baptism normally is scheduled on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 worship service. If you would like to have your child baptized at St. Paul's Church, Runnymede, please contact the church office (416-735-5772) to set up an appointment with the clergy.

For Adults:
As with the baptism of infants and children, the baptism of adults normally occurs as part of the regular worship life of the parish. Often times, adults seeking baptism take part in the catechesis program during Lent and are baptized during the Easter Vigil. If you are considering deepening your commitment to your life in Christ and would like to be baptized, speak with one of the clergy to arrange a time to discuss your next steps.

Weddings at St.Paul's, Runnymede

Your wedding is one of the most important moments in your life. We are delighted that you are thinking of solemnizing it at St. Paul's Church, Runnymede. As you exchange your vows, we hope that you will feel blessed in your love, surrounded by the support of friends and family.

We have been solemnizing marriages since 1909. Our history of ministry in here in the Bloor West Village means that your service will be filled with tradition and yet modern. It will be in keeping with the guidelines of the Anglican Church and still uniquely yours.

Our clergy will help you prepare for your marriage and to make choices about your wedding ceremony. Our organist will consult with you about the music.

Please call or email the parish office to arrange an appointment.
