RING BELLS FOR QUEEN ELIZABETH II. All churches are invited to join the Canadian Armed Forces chapels in recognizing the moment that Queen Elizabeth II becomes the longest reigning Commonwealth monarch, surpassing Queen Victoria. On Sept. 9 at 12:30 p.m. EDT, the chapels will toll their bells using the good news peal for three to five minutes in a joyful continuous ringing.
