Garden Tour, Sunday, June 10, 2012, 10am - 4pm
The Hort presents a self guided walking tour of 25 beautiful gardens in a charming pocket of Bloor West Village between Jane and Durie Streets, Bloor and Annette Streets. The area is convenient to reach, either by car or from the Jane subway station. It is flat terrain and the gardens are all close together for ease of walking and are rich with ideas to delight and inspire you. Local restaurants are close by for lunch, or purchase a light lunch from the church ladies at Tour Headquarters.Tour Headquarters at St. Paul’s Church, 404 Willard Ave, in the heart of the tour area, will be set up to enhance your experience. Purchase or pick up your tickets; view original works of botanical art for show and sale; attend Clement Kent’s lecture on Pollinator Gardens at 12:30pm; use the restroom; or purchase a light lunch of sandwich, fruit and a beverage prepared by the church ladies.
Tickets are available at the Plant Fair on May 12, at our meetings on April 30 and May 28, at selected neighbourhood stores until June 9 (listed below) and at Tour Headquarters on tour day June 10. Tickets are $18 each and contain a map of the tour area as well as addresses and a brief description of each garden on the route. Please note that not all gardens are wheelchair accessible.
